Face Bangkok restaurant has established itself as one of Bangkok's leading dinning Venus, offering Thai, Indian and Japanese cuisine in one of their three restaurants. One can also relax with cocktails in its stunning bar set in chic and trendy surroundings.

Structurally we referred to the classical Thai extended family house, and the importance of the "klong" which by tradition was the "road" access to the Thai house. There was also an emphasis on the south Asian use of many changes of floor levels within the builds and the compound.

We were concerned to be sensitive to the tropical environment, by maximizing shading and the use of thermal mass for cooling.

We saw the whole complex as a "Caravansary" (as on the silk route) a meeting place which is secure (enclosing) welcoming and multi cultural , using antiques and artifacts from the traders and trader cultures who visited this region. We stressed diversity and multiculturalism in a sensual, friendly environment where you can meet, eat, drink and talk, face to face in a calm secure atmosphere.

Face Bangkok is defiantly one of the restaurants in Bangkok that you must visit.

Marc Schultz @ Face - a photography exhibition

We are proud to announce the opening of a photography exhibition at Face Bangkok Restaurant. The exhibition will be featuring a series of photos entitled Urban Lines, a project shot exclusively by Bangkok-based photographer, Marc Schultz.

The Urban Lines project is a collection of unique photographs captured in Bangkok which exhibit elements of a developing Asian city in transition.

This series of retrospective pictures portrays details of a growing urban landscape in which industrializing interests struggle to modernize, resulting in a sacrifice of some of the city's intrinsic beauty from its past.

For more Info: FaceBook Fan Page.

The exhibition is open to the public from 1PM until 10PM daily until March 10th, 2010.
